On Saturday 24th April we have Elizabeth Morris from Allo Darlin’ guest DJing at the club!
The club is now on every last Saturday of the month at King’s Cross Social Club. Doors open at 9pm through to 2am and we’d like to hear your song requests!
We’ll be playing our mix of indiepop, post-punk, C86, jangle pop, Sarah, Postcard, new wave and protopunk so come and join us! Elizabeth will be on the decks from 11pm.
We return on Friday 19th March at King’s Cross Social Club!
We’re very excited to welcome former Chelsea, Everton and Scotland international footballer Pat Nevin as our guest DJ this month.
Whilst not playing in the same 7-a-side team as Stuart Murdoch and Colin McIntyre, Pat has DJed at many indie club nights and lists Joy Division, The Fall, Cocteau Twins, Belle and Sebastian, Camera Obscura and The Go-Betweens as some of his favourite bands. A former pal of John Peel, Pat has exquisite taste and we can’t wait!
We’ll be playing the best in classic and new indiepop, post-punk, C86, jangle pop, Sarah, Postcard, new wave and protopunk dancefloor fillers from 9pm to 2am.
We made some mixtapes for our last club night and they went very quickly. It’s made up of songs that had been rattling around our heads throughout February, including delightful new releases by Club 8, Sambassadeur and Allo Darlin’.
1. The Hi-Life Companion – Times Table
2. Summer Cats – Paperweight
3. Standard Fare – Nuit Avec Une Ami
4. Club 8 – Western Hospitality
5. Sambassadeur – Days
6. Allo Darlin’ – Dreaming
7. David Tattersall – Happy For a While
8. Godsmania – Higher Lower
9. The ABC Club – Thieving Magpie
10. Women’s Basketball – Calling People I Used to Date
