A great night at dirtyconverse DISCO last night! It was nice DJing downstairs at King’s Cross Social Club who are putting on some other top club nights and gigs now. Guest DJing at dirtyconverse DISCO

We’ll be DJing at dirtyconverse DISCO at King’s Cross Social Club on Saturday night. In their own words they play “serious synth, intelligent pop, time-sensitive treats and electro/indie you can dance to.”

So expect to hear The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Veronica Falls, Allo Darlin’, Talking Heads, The Drums and the more poppier moments of my record collection.

And remember Scared To Dance is back on Saturday 26th June with Pocketbooks to celebrate our 1st birthday and the launch of our Summer fanzine! There’s a Facebook event for it here and I would be eternally grateful if you could invite your friends to our group.

Hopefully see some of you on Saturday!

POCKETBOOKS GUEST DJ ON SAT 26TH JUNE

We’re delighted to announce Pocketbooks will be our guest DJs on Saturday 26th June!

Emma Hall and Ian Cowen from the band were due to DJ for us in April but it unfortunately clashed with other events so Allo Darlin’ dutifully filled their shoes.

We’re very excited to have them for our first birthday at King’s Cross Social Club and the launch of our Summer fanzine! Doors open at 9pm to 2am. It’s free to get in before 10pm and only £3 after.

Do You DIY? Part 2 setlist

We had a great time DJing at the second Do You DIY? all-dayer on Monday. A special mention for The Understudies andMatthew and the Atlas who were both superb! Here’s what I played in-between the bands:

Bob Dylan – If Not for You

I’m not aware of any further Do You DIY’s? in the future but let’s hope Rod decides to do many more. Both have been a wonderful celebration of the DIY ethic and a great opportunity to meet so many like-minded people. Roll on Do You DIY? Part 3!
