Amelia Fletcher and Eithne Farry from Talulah Gosh have compiled our October podcast ahead of their DJ set at the club!

It’s a mixture of influences on the band from the likes of ’80s indiepop from The Shop Assistants, Beat Happening, Dolly Mixture and The Smiths to ’60s pop with The Chiffons, The Ronettes, Carole King, Gloria Jones plus some newer stuff from Allo Darlin’ and Standard Fare.

You can listen to the podcast for free on Mixcloud along with our entire archive of podcasts put together by Darren Hayman, Gideon Coe, Pete Paphides, Dougie Anderson and many others.

We’re having a Keeping It Peel Special at the club on Saturday 26th October at the Moustache Bar!

Talulah Gosh are our guest DJs! Amelia Fletcher and co. will be hitting the decks to celebrate the release of the career spanning Was It Just A Dream? compilation. The album has 29 tracks including 4 new demo versions and is being released by Damaged Goods on double gatefold vinyl and CD.

This is part of the Keeping It Peel project who commemorate the passing of the great man each year with clubs, gigs, writers all getting involved to celebrate Peel and what he stood for. He was one of the key reasons why the club started four years ago, to offer an alternative to what was already out there, so we’re thrilled to help out.

We’ll also be joined by one of our most popular guest DJs over the years. The ex-Chelsea, Everton and Scotland international footballer Pat Nevin will be helping us out on the decks after Talulah Gosh’s DJ set. If you’re lucky, we may even tell you one or two John Peel stories.

As always, you can become a member at the club for free and get in for the discounted price of £4. Simply email us with your full name and we’ll give you a membership card on the night! Here’s the Facebook event so mark it in your diaries as you won’t want to miss this one.
