GOODBYE TO THE MOUSTACHE BAR

Scared To Dance is looking for a new home for our club nights after 3 years at the Moustache Bar.

Circumstances have changed at the venue meaning we are looking for pastures new. It’s been a fun few years there and we’d like to thank everyone who came and danced and helped the club grow to what it is today.

Sadly this means all of our upcoming club nights have been cancelled. Ticket holders will be given a full refund from our ticket provider as soon as possible. We will hopefully have Josie Long, Robin Ince, Gideon Coe and Night Flowers back DJing at the club once a new venue is found.

We would like to stay in the Dalston and Hackney area so if you have any suggestions for a new venue please let us know. We will hopefully be back very soon!

SCARED TO DANCE PODCAST #47

Our August podcast returns with our pick of the best new alternative music!

New Order are set to release Music Complete and we have the lead single “Restless” taken from the album.

Night Flowers are back with “Sleep”, their first with a new vocalist, which is out next month on Dirty Bingo Records.

FFS’ LP is one of our favourites this year and we’ve got the brilliant “Call Girl”. Robert Forster, previously of The Go-Betweens, releases his first set of songs for seven years with “Let Me Imagine You” and there’s Yo La Tengo’s cover of “Friday I’m In Love”.

Stanley Brinks & The Wave Pictures are readying a new album and we lift “Wakefield” from it. We have an exclusive track from The Leaf Library and new material from Joanna Newsom, Frozy and Grubs.

Also on the podcast there’s DRINKS, Two White Cranes, Primitive Parts, Model Village, John Howard & The Night Mail, Widowspeak, EL VY, Public Service Broadcasting, Flesh World and Christian Fitness.

You can subscribe to our Mixcloud page for all of our monthly podcasts.
