SCARED TO DANCE PODCAST #51

It’s our final podcast of the year as we compile our favourite new songs from the past month on our December podcast!

Wild Nothing are back with the fantastic “TV Queen” lifted from their upcoming album Life of Pause.

Former Let’s Wrestle frontman Wesley Gonzalez releases his debut solo effort “Come Through and See Me” and there’s the brilliant Club 8 with “Skin”.

New band Labradoor have put out their first single “The Sleep” whilst David Bowie returns with the wonderfully weird “Blackstar”.

Allo Darlin’s Elizabeth Morris new EP Athens is out now and we take “Historic Times” from it alongside the latest tracks by Mothers, Rotifer and Jarvis Cocker & Serafina Steer’s love letter to Paris “Friday 13th 2015”.

Also on the podcast there’s The Leaf Library, Animal Collective, Andrew Weatherall, Chorusgirl, Savages, The Spook School and Grace.

We end the year with four Christmas songs by Deerful, Sunturns, Bill Botting & The Two Drink Minimums and Sweet Baboo.

You can subscribe to our Mixcloud page for all of our monthly podcasts.

FRONTLIST/BACKLIST INTERVIEW

We were recently interviewed by the arts website Frontlist/Backlist.

We tell them where we get our inspiration from, our odd creative rituals and what we’re obsessed with. You can read the interview here.

Whilst you’re there check out their other interviews with actors, artists, writers and those who work in fashion.

NEW CLUB NIGHT AND GIG PHOTOS

We’ve recently added a new photo section to our website.

On there you’ll find photographs from our club nights at the Moustache Bar, King’s Cross Social Club and The Albany. Take a look, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll spot yourself in there.

There’s also a new gig section including many of the bands we’ve put on over the years. It features Shrag, Standard Fare, Allo Darlin’, The Wave Pictures, Tigercats, The Just Joans, The Understudies, The Spook School, Stanley Brinks, Freschard, Rotifer, Emma Kupa, Pocketbooks, Red Shoe Diaries, Evans the Death, Night Flowers and Fever Dream.

If you have any photos from our events that you’d like to contribute, please get in touch.
