One of our favourite bands, and one of the reasons we started Scared To Dance, Allo Darlin’ are calling it a day.

They’re going to be playing three final shows in December to say goodbye. We’ll be DJing at the penultimate gig at Moth Club on Saturday 10th December where support comes from our friends The Hayman Kupa Band.

The final show takes place at the Scala on Sunday 11th December with Josie Long and Bill Botting & The Two Drink Minimums. There’s also The Hangover Lounge before the gig at The Water Rats.


Our Swedish Special is back on Friday 2nd December and this time we’ll be at The Shacklewell Arms in Dalston!

Our guest is the author, journalist and documentary filmmaker Jon Ronson. He’s written a number of excellent books in recent years including The Men Who Stare at GoatsThe Psychopath TestFrank and So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed. There will be a Q&A with Jon after the film where the audience is invited to ask questions about the film and also about Jon’s career.

The Devil and Daniel Johnston is a 2005 documentary film about the noted American musician Daniel Johnston. It chronicles Johnston’s life from childhood up to the present, with an emphasis on his experiences with bipolar disorder, and how it manifested itself in demonic self-obsession.

The film won the Documentary Directing Award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.

This is in Screen 3 at the cinema and tickets are £9.50 in advance.


Scared To Dance returns to Berlin on Saturday 12th November! After our sold out first night in the summer we’re back this time at Loophole Berlin.
