DJING AT MARTHA AT THE LEXINGTON

We’ll be DJing at the seventh and final annual Fortuna POP! Winter Sprinter on Wednesday 4th January. Martha headline with support from Radiator Hospital and Average Sex.

The Sprinter kicks off on Tuesday 3rd January with Ultimate Painting, The Wharves and Girl Ray. On Thursday 5th January there’s Haiku SalutTrust Fund and Totally. Then on the final night The Just Joans play with Expert Alterations and Bill Botting & The Two Drink Minimums.

Tickets can be bought for each night or as a season ticket and stage times can be found on the Facebook event.

Four nights, twelve bands, DJs, the perfect antidote to the post-Christmas in the intimate surroundings of The Lexington. For the final sprinter, and with the Fortuna POP! Twenty Years of Trouble shows in March looming, they’ve booked some of their favourite bands not on the Fortuna POP! label (and one that is) for this unmissable curtain-raiser to the year.

SCARED TO DANCE PODCAST #63

It’s our final podcast of the year as we compile our favourite new songs from the past month on our podcast.

We say goodbye to one of our favourite bands Allo Darlin’ who bow out with the brilliant “Hymn On the 45”.

The Jesus and Mary Chain will be releasing their first album in 18 years, Damage and Joy, and we lift “Amputation” from that. We also have the latest from King Creosote and The Hidden Cameras who have released excellent LPs this year.

Bill Botting & The Two Drink Minimums cover “Graceland” from their upcoming debut album and Enderby’s Room return with “Lakeside”.

The Proper Ornaments are back with “Cremated (Blown Away)” from their forthcoming LP Foxhole plus new singles from Neil Young, The Wave Pictures, Papernut Cambridge, The Wharves, Totally and Ultimate Painting.

Also on the podcast there’s a festive offering from Night Flowers plus Tennis, Delay Trees, The Pictish Trail, Kristin Kontrol, Wild Beasts and Joe Goddard.

You can subscribe to our Mixcloud page for all of our monthly podcasts.
