SCARED TO DANCE

We’ll be DJing at the first of Allo Darlin’s Compass Shows on Wednesday 12th June at Ginglik in West London.

Doors open at 7:30pm and support comes from the excellent Flowers who are DJing at the club next month. The gig is sold out but you may get lucky with some returns on the door. Here’s what Elizabeth Morris had to say about the gigs –

“We’re recording our new album in London in the summer, and we had the idea that it would be great to road-test the new songs before we put them to tape.

We haven’t played any small shows in London for a long time, and we’re aware that sometimes the best venues are the smallest ones. We’ve always felt that we play our best at these kinds of shows, and it doesn’t seem fair that our London audience misses out on them.

So we decided to do a show in every corner of this fair city of ours, in four venues that we have never played before. It’s a London Compass, if you will. An ancient church, a jazz venue, a converted Victorian WC and, of course, the classic, a back room of a pub.

We will be playing a lot of new songs, but of course there will be room for old favourites.

With some amazing support acts, we hope you can find time in your summer to join us.”
