Although now based out of North London, it was in Oxford that the members of Enter Laughing met and bonded over a shared love for bands like Roxy Music, Television and Jonathan Richman. With a sound that they describe as “frantic psychedelic music” the band caught the ear of the Permanent Creeps label (The Klittens/Heartworms) who released their debut single, “Met Me When I Landed”, in November last year.

The band’s dynamic live shows have quickly become something of a word of mouth phenomenon drawing comparisons to the likes of Ought, Stereolab and “a stoned Julian Cope” which you’ll agree sounds too intriguing to miss.

Already strong contenders to be our favourite band from Bedford, Dog Race burst onto the scene last year with their debut single “Terror”. Now working with producer de-jour Ali Chant, the band recently shared “There’s a Mouse in My House”, a song of paranoia and lurking presence set to Bauhaus-style synth and drums. Dog Race are at the start of something very special, catch them somewhere intimate while you still can.
