IVO GRAHAM FILM NIGHT ON SUN 2ND JUNE

We are thrilled to announce that Ivo Graham is our guest at our film night on Sunday 2nd June at Hackney Picturehouse.

The comedian, writer and broadcaster joins host Paul Richards showing Stop Making Sense preceded by a Q&A.

Stop Making Sense is an independently produced 1984 American concert film featuring a live performance by Talking Heads. Directed by Jonathan Demme, it was shot over four nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theatre in December 1983, when Talking Heads were touring to promote their 1983 album Speaking in Tongues.

Stop Making Sense is considered by many critics to be a classic and one of the greatest concert films of all time. The film is a pioneering example of the use of early digital audio techniques. In 2021, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

Tickets are now on sale.
